PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES for THE ROLE AND PRODUCT

As part of the Board Area Products Engineering the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) development team builds solutions that help our customers to streamline existing Regulation and Compliance processes, address regulatory requirements and reduce risk during their digital transformation. Build the total risk management system for a company.

We have the development teams in Walldorf, Shanghai and Palo Alto. Our team offers a dynamic, international environment with opportunities for continuous learning and career development. SPG is a new cloud-based solutions and services to support Data Protection Officers, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Security Officer in addressing and handling Information Security, Data Protection and Privacy requirements, like the EU GDPR (General Data Privacy Regulation), CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), CCSL (China Cyber Security Law) as well the corresponding IT Security Standards like ISO 270001 and NIST Cyber Security Framework. The solution is planned to leverage SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). SAP BTP is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) to manage and develop applications in public and private clouds. It is based on open standards, such as Cloud Foundry and runs on different Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) layers, such as OpenStack, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

For SPG Shanghai team, we have a full development team in Shanghai with different roles to fulfill the customer and market requirements in Privacy and Cybersecurity Governance. As the developer for SPG you can build the cloud-based solution and support the DPO, CIO and CSO in the enterprises to deal with the increased complex IT environment in the Internet Age.

THE ROLE: EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As developer you will join a team working in the SAP Privacy and Governance space. Your responsibility will cover all stages and tasks within the entire software development cycle at SAP, including the overall responsibility for your code through design, implementation, test, maintenance and operations.

Depending on your level of experience you will contribute to efforts around the technical implementation, security issues, agile development techniques and implement the predefined requirements of the new solution. You are the team player, and the contribution of the requirements refinements is also expected. With the collaborate with other customers, end-users and other development teams, this is a must to bring the solution forward.

You need to be comfortable to work in a (new) dynamic environment, guide with your expertise, establish standards in your team, share your knowledge, motivate other team members, build consensus, while being open to new ideas and approaches at the same time.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

• Degree (Bachelor, Diploma, Master, PhD) in information technology, computer or natural science, engineering or equivalent subject

• Programming skills in ABAP / HANA / Java / HTML5, hands on experience with common frameworks like Spring and Spring boot.

• Experience with Agile Software Engineering techniques, experience with test-driven development, unit tests, continuous integration & delivery, committer/contributor model and pair programming, knowledge in using GIT Hub

• Experience on SCRUM and LEAN development model

• Familiar with SAP BTP, experiences in SAP Application Development will be a plus.

• Experience with Cybersecurity and Privacy Compliance product will be a plus

• Excellent comprehension, willingness and ability to learn new subject matters quickly.

• Intercultural co-operation and passion for innovation.

• Eager to understand business process background

• Fluent Chinese and English - verbal and written

Preferred skills

• Background / knowledge around privacy, data protection or cybersecurity governance

• Knowledge of Quality Processes and Standards at SAP

• Knowledge of network, internet technologies and distributed systems

• Readiness to analyze issues on multiple layers ranging from applications, services to operating system level in the code and at runtime

• Excellent communication, presentation skills
