Sales and Distribution Consultant - Consumer Industry – SD / TPM / DSD
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Work on leading customer facing project implementations in Consumer Industries at SAP Solution Delivery center for Consumer Products related Sales and Distribution roles.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Minimum educational requirement – Graduation from a reputed institute
Master of Business Administration (MBA) from reputed institutes preferred, although not mandatory
SAP Certification in SAP SD strongly recommended
Expertise in Consumer Products Industry mandatory (Dairy/Meat/Consumer package/Agri) with focus on Sales and Distribution preferred.
Experience in SAP Trade Promotion Management / DSD (process wise/implementation wise) would be highly preferred.
Expertise as a Business end user role in Consumer Industry would be an added advantage
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Should have very good understanding and solution architecting abilities in the core CPG functionalities of sales and distribution.
Proven Knowledge of Master data, Sales, Shipping, Outbound Deliveries, Transportation, Trade, billing, Sales support, returns, pricing, Credit Management in SD
Should have knowledge in areas of Trade Promotion like Deals, trade promotion agreements, Volumes and trade spends planning, Trade promotion guidelines, Conditions and rebates, Claims Management, Prepayments, Funds Management
Should have knowledge of SAP Direct Store Delivery and its functionalities
Should be able to speak the business language of at least 2 of the sub industries: Dairy/ Meat / Consumer package/Food Processing/ Beverages/ Agri-Business
Proven capabilities in integrating SAP with peripheral supply chain systems such as planning & procurement, demand management, production planning, transportation and warehouse management systems.
Should have done extensive work on Sales and distribution and its integration with sub-modules like materials management and finance & costing. In addition, integration with external supply chain systems like transportation and warehouse management (like SAP TM / WM / EWM) is required.
Understanding of SAP S4 HANA capabilities and solution scope is preferred.
Should have a deep understanding of Consumer Products Industry Business Processes
Should be good with documentation and general Office tools
Should have excellent communication suitable for leading customer facing engagements
Should be able to articulate business requirements and propose solutions
Should be willing to travel 30-75% of the time.
Lead and guide customers on various SAP Solutions in Consumer Industry/ Retail space
Being a part of project implementations in both classical and Agile modes
Lead pre-sales, customer demos, CPG roadmaps, Customer PoCs
Lead in-house initiatives and focus groups to create knowledge assets and services
Key Performance Indicators
Improving efficiency of delivery through knowledge assets & services creation
Business development activities in the team
Ramp-up of internal colleagues
Experience and Other Requirements
Domain expertise: Should have good understanding of consumer industries domain (retail also preferred). Should have a keen understanding of the industry trends and the solution trends supporting the industry changes. Should be able to relate to SAP’s solution portfolio changes relevant to the industry.
Solution expertise: Should have at least 4 end-to-end implementations with experience in leading the Sales and Distribution / Trade Promotion / DSD areas from solution point of view and with certifications.
Soft skills: Clear and articulate communication. Strong presentation skills. Business development and project management skills are mandatory. People management experience will be preferred.
