What you'll do:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Linux Administrator to join our growing IT team. You will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and automation of our Linux infrastructure spread in different public cloud environment. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and performance of our critical systems. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for automation and a desire to continuously improve our infrastructure through scripting and automation tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Suse servers.

  • Perform routine server maintenance tasks such as user management, package updates, security patching, and system backups.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages Python, Terraform or Ansible.

  • Implement and maintain configuration management tools like Ansible.

  • Manage user access and permissions on Linux systems.

  • Secure Linux systems by implementing best practices and hardening techniques.

  • Participate in incident response activities and disaster recovery planning.

  • Stay up to date with the latest Linux technologies and security vulnerabilities.

  • Document procedures and troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operation of the entire infrastructure.

What you Bring:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience administering Linux systems in a production environment.

  • Proven experience with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ansible.

  • Good understanding of public cloud infrastructure like GCP, AWS

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible.

The system engineering team is responsible for system administration and maintenance activities, participating in audits and vulnerability assessments, automation and scripting, infrastructure design and deployment, troubleshooting and major incident support, performance tuning and optimization, team coordination, and implementing best practices and technical improvements within the IPC process.
