PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

To help support the communications activities for SAP’s mid-sized and partner business (called Global Partner Organisation - GPO) within Southern EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

Reporting to the Director of Communications for GPO across this region, this is an exciting new role will have two main goals:

  1. Primarily, to drive the social media programme for GPO in EMEA South, including the development of new and innovative social content, end-to-end (film, written, creative) to promote SAP, its partners and its customer success stories;

  2. Secondly, to support the Director of Communications for GC&GB with other local communications activities in the EMEA South region as required (events, internal comms, media relations, partner communications etc).

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • The role will require someone with a general interest and knowledge of social media, the ability to create mini videos from scratch, and able to write short articles, blogs or social content to post.

  • The candidate would need to carry out interviews with senior executives, team members and partners, and then manage the content development end-to-end, from concept, through to development, editing, production, to post-analysis.

  • It’s also an advantage if the candidate has an interest in and if possible is well-versed and/or trained in video / media, and able to assist in creating videos, writing blog posts and other social content that can be posted on social media.

  • Additionally, the candidate will help support in driving the GPO social media calendar, and support with other communications activities (events, internal communications, etc.) as required

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • A recent graduate with a degree in marketing / communications / public relations

  • Strong social media skills – able to plan and execute then measure a social media campaign

  • Understanding of communications / Public relations

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate well with people at all levels of an organization

  • Flexible, adaptable, willing to travel across the Southern Europe region

  • Fluent in English

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Someone who has also worked within a corporate environment, ideally within the communications, public relations or marketing team.

  • It would be beneficial if you have had experience in running a social programme end-to-end. This would have included researching and drafting the social content, managing the social calendar, though to measurement and analysis.

  • Experience in communications and public relations is desirable.

  • The candidate would need to have demonstrated ease and comfort at working with senior executives within SAP and our partner ecosystem
