Purpose & Objective of Position
The Market Unit Intern is responsible for providing support for the development and execution of market unit programs and campaigns by gathering relevant customer and prospect public information, conducting white space analysis all working in the context of partner contacts and data. The intern will receive substantial guidance, feedback, and mentoring from the team to help them understand the market unit go-to-market strategy. The intern will explore data interactively to find insights, visualize information with charts and tables, and share, present, and comment on findings with the leadership.
Expectations & Tasks
The Market Unit Intern will perform the following duties:
Build and refresh visualizations leveraging SAP Analytics Cloud
Import and set up data into a new story
Explore data interactively
Create a story page with visualizations
Customize the items on the page with formatting and filters
Pin the story to your Home screen, and share it with others
Partner scorecards of revenue performance
Leadership partner scorecard of quarterly revenue performance
Calculate, consolidate and visualize economic whitespace data
Consolidate tracked information of sales activities and visualize
Analyze current sales pipeline and publish heatmap based on certain thresholds
Maintain visualization of partner contacts and go-to-market skillset
Expand analytics to the SAP digital boardroom
White Space Analysis by Line of Business
Pull license information and consolidate with other data to visualize
Map product requirements to partner products
Build demand plan by quantifying license opportunities based on white space analysis
Utilize the SAP Digital Boardroom to transform executive meetings. Replace static presentations and stale information with interactive discussions based on real data – to make fact-based decisions to drive business.
Create responsive, fluid, boardroom presentations in a visual, drag-and-drop manner
Find answers to questions by exploring directly on live data to discover relationships and drill into details.
Plan and simulate the effects of different assumptions and actions visually using value-driver trees.
Partner focus areas and mapping
Validate partner focus areas based on market unit go-to-market strategy (industry, solution, revenue, geography)
Account mapping between partner and market unit customers/prospects
Validate key partner contacts
Identify partner solutions that connect to SAP
Skills / Competencies
Motivated and organized person who is a self-starter and can multi-task
Understanding of information technology and its use in business
Knowledge of Analytical tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, Macros, Scipts*
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
At least two years of college (junior/ senior)
Prefer MBA student
Some work experience would be helpful
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Demonstrate ability to work and think independently
Proactive and self-starter
