The Business Development Senior Specialist position is very valuable to our prospects and customers to create new business and further develop opportunities through deal qualification and opportunity nurturing in the early sales cycle. The BDS uncovers new business opportunities by identifying cross- and upselling opportunities in close collaboration with SAP CX Sales Executives, managing and executing follow-up activities (e.g. outbound initiatives) and working closely with marketing on inbound activities.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Take initiative and responsibility for the growth of the SAP C/4Hana suite within Germany

  • Create, build and qualify pipeline for assigned accounts in direct collaboration with the SAP CX Account Executive.

  • Collaborate with the sales team on the lead qualification process, quality and quantity of identified opportunities.

  • Be the first point of contact for all inbound inquiries to qualify these into sales ready opportunities.

  • Proactively identifying opportunities yourself through targeted outreach and supporting outbound demand generation campaigns.

  • Work closely with marketing on outbound and inbound campaigns.

  • Provide pipeline forecast and ensure forecast and pipeline accuracy

  • Establish trusted advisor relationships across lines of business that will provide ongoing, accurate account information and future opportunities

  • Conduct high-level conversations with C-Levels

  • Meet and exceed a monthly pipeline quota

  • Close collaboration with stakeholders in Germany, including Sales Management and Marketing.

Besides these tasks you support the team with coordinating and project management tasks:

  • Initiate team meetings for team alignments

  • Generating and sharing comprehensive and detailed reports

  • Work on projects to support team development

  • Consolidating team member questions, team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Proven track record in identifying business and generating new business leads via Internet, Telephone or Social media.

  • Strong initiator and leader with outgoing personality who is self-motivated Experience in project management and coordination.

  • Ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies and track and measure results.

  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment and prioritize work to meet specific deadlines.

  • Self-motivation and results oriented work style.

  • Knowledge of demand generation processes and working with CRM systems.

  • Excellent communication skills as well as fluency in English and German.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years’ experience in demand generation.

  • Experience with coordination and leading of projects is of an advantage
