Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Purpose and Objective: Ariba, Inc. seeks a Support Engineer at our Pittsburgh, PA office location for r esolving errors using SAP notes, knowledge base articles, solved customer incidents, documentation, WIKI, or by verifying customized entries or hardware parameters.
Expectations and Tasks: Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions in complex environments for specific fields/areas. Perform KPI adherence and P1 incident handling. Participate in weekend support activities. Provide extended and 24 hour coverage, as needed. Report errors to development organizations. Involve in incident reduction tasks like creation of knowledge base articles and notes, contribution in SDN forums and SDN WIKI. Deliver standard application/technology training and workshops. Perform knowledge transfer to internal staff, and external customers and partners. Produce e-Learning Content to help with incident deflection. Drive creation of knowledge in area of expertise and proactive proliferation of knowledge created externally and internally. Contribute ideas to help towards the PS vision of support without incidents. Volunteer to participate in projects aimed at achieving the PS vision of support without incidents. Carry out new tasks as requested by STM, GFM or GSC Head to help achieve the PS vision of support without incidents. Work as functional expert in de-escalation and war rooms. Participate in internal projects driven by internal requirements.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field and 5 years of experience required. The company will accept a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.
Travel: 10% travel required.
