Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Purpose and Objective: Ariba, Inc. seeks a Support Engineer at our Pittsburgh, PA office location for r esolving errors using SAP notes, knowledge base articles, solved customer incidents, documentation, WIKI, or by verifying customized entries or hardware parameters.

Expectations and Tasks: Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions in complex environments for specific fields/areas. Perform KPI adherence and P1 incident handling. Participate in weekend support activities. Provide extended and 24 hour coverage, as needed. Report errors to development organizations. Involve in incident reduction tasks like creation of knowledge base articles and notes, contribution in SDN forums and SDN WIKI. Deliver standard application/technology training and workshops. Perform knowledge transfer to internal staff, and external customers and partners. Produce e-Learning Content to help with incident deflection. Drive creation of knowledge in area of expertise and proactive proliferation of knowledge created externally and internally. Contribute ideas to help towards the PS vision of support without incidents. Volunteer to participate in projects aimed at achieving the PS vision of support without incidents. Carry out new tasks as requested by STM, GFM or GSC Head to help achieve the PS vision of support without incidents. Work as functional expert in de-escalation and war rooms. Participate in internal projects driven by internal requirements.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field and 5 years of experience required. The company will accept a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.

Work Experience: Experience or course work must involve the following: Delivering mission critical support for out of the box product integration issues during production down situation. Deploying systems based on object oriented platforms. Processing design configuration of end to end business process between Ariba cloud, SAP PI/PO and on premise solutions. Deploying adapters on SAP Netweaver, SLD configuration, configuration of Integration Directory scenarios, ESR mappings. Developing and debugging ABAP, JAVA/J2EE code during mission critical issues and provide customers with workarounds and solutions to solve their issues and mitigating business impact. Analyzing of PI adapter error logs and default developer trace files in troubleshooting integration issues with cloud and on-premise solutions. BASIS configuration. Analyzing out of memory dumps and heap dumps in Cloud solutions. Developing Interfaces, transport and installing software component objects and ERP transports. JAVA, C#, ABAP, ERP, SAP ECC 6.0 and above, R/3,SAP PI/XI 7.1/7.3/7.4/7.5, WebServices, Unix, XSLT, Graphical mappings, Java mappings , RFC lookups, Troubleshooting PI cache/mapping errors. Root cause analysis of customer issues, Shell scripting. XML coding, HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL Database, MySQL, DB2, MS Access, Splunk Troubleshooting, SOAP UI for trouble shooting ,Postman, Fiddler and enterprise Service Planning Functional Configurations for FI / MM / SD modules in SAP.

Travel: 10% travel required.
