Product Owner - IT Customer Experience (Scrum Team SAP for Me)

As an experienced and motivated Product Owner you will lead one of our SAFe Agile development teams in the creation of an innovative and user-centric customer portal. As a key player in our Agile transformation, the Product Owner will play a pivotal role in driving the product vision, managing the product backlog, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the development of a customer portal within the SAFe framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

What youll do

  • Prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring that it aligns with the Program Backlog in the SAFe framework.

  • Define features, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Participate in sprint planning, ensuring that team commitments align with the PI objectives and overall program goals.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including Product Management, System Architects, and Scrum Masters, to understand and address dependencies.

  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning sessions to contribute to the development of Program Backlogs and PI Objectives.

  • Work closely with the development team during each sprint to validate that features meet acceptance criteria and are aligned with business objectives.

What you bring

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, ideally in Agile software development environments. Experience with customer portal development is a plus.

  • In-depth understanding of Agile principles and practices, with experience working in Scrum or other Agile frameworks.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong decision-making skills, balancing competing priorities and making informed choices.

Meet your team

SAP Intelligent Enterprise Services DXC Customer Portals is responsible to define and implement SAPs customer & partner portal SAP for Me. SAP for Me is one of the three main digital access points to SAP. In this context SAP for Me is the digital companion for all customers and partners to efficiently manage all their tasks and get insights in all their data related to their SAP collaboration.

The Customer Portals team has about 50 employees located in Germany, China, Australia and USA. To cover the increasing demand coming from all SAP areas we are setting up a new delivery team in Timisoara (Romania) and are searching highly motivated and talented people who are going to help to continuously improve SAPs customer experience. We are using cutting edge technologies and managing the agile scrum teams with the SAFe methodology.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • A technical background is a plus, allowing you to bridge the gap between development teams and other stakeholders.

  • Work experience (> 5years) as Product Owner
