The Partner Deployment QA advisor is responsible for assisting our partners and customers with the design and deployment of their Ariba solutions. As solution experts, they will help the Partner lead the customer in the build, testing and deployment of their software solution and associated business processes. This position is Japan Virtual.

Duties and Responsibilities

On-Demand Partner QA Advisor will provide quality oversite in all aspects of a deployment including (but not limited to): requirements gathering, overall design quality, alignment to SAP Ariba best practices and standard configuration and process flows, user interface configuration.

  • Overall QA responsibilities include assisting partners throughout the various phases of Ariba’s solution deployment for end customers.

  • Partner QA will act as a liaison between the partner and various groups within Ariba such as Shared Services, Technical Support, Engineering, and Product Management.

  • All other duties assigned.

  • The Partner QA Advisor is responsible for customer satisfaction during the successful deployment of solutions.

  • The Partner QA Advisor establishes credibility as a conduit for solutions expertise with partners and is seen as an expert by customers and partners.

  • Responsible for assessing and resolving deployment issue, both technical and functional and developing system solutions for the deployment and the ongoing support of Ariba cloud (OnD) and on-premise (OnP) based products and solutions. This may include coordination across shared services, Technical support, Engineering and Product Management.

  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with a willingness to pick up the phone when email isn’t getting the job done

  • High level of partner empathy

Ariba Solution Expertise

  • Possesses ability to advise the partner in features, functionality and applicability of the entire Spend Management suite including Sourcing, Contracts, ACM, Analysis, P2P, ASN, and Invoice Pro, as well as possess expert knowledge in at least one area of the Spend Management suite; in this case P2P or Procurement Content.

  • Builds solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources, internally at Ariba and externally with the partner.

  • Executes with minimal guidance and shows strong initiative.

  • Proactively collaborates with manager, teammates, partners and customer to anticipate and respond to issues that could impact customers.

  • Displays proactive communication (i.e., face-to-face meetings and phone calls are more frequent than emails).

Basic Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years Spend Management experience

  • BS or BA degree in a related field

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

  • Strong functional and customer facing experience

  • Technical aptitude and capabilities

  • Japanese fluent and English business

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment and influence others that impact success

  • BS or BA degree in a related field
