What youll do

As a ServiceNow IT Senior/Principal Solution Architect (f/m/d) for Configuration Management in our team, you will act as a lead for configuration management defining processes and detailed CMDB concepts on our harmonized ServiceNow landscape used by thousands of users across the globe. You will closely collaborate with business owners, product managers, architects and other experts in an agile environment.

In your daily business, you will ensure the configuration management data and CMDB fulfills the needs of our external and internal customers. You define processes and transfer business demand into our CMDB structure. Align closely with business and other program roles and drive continuous improvement of our CMDB. You should be able to understand business demands, have a deep understanding of CMDB functionality and its effects on all other CSM, ITSM and ITOM processes. You are part of the agile CMDB development team to implement changes and fix data quality issues. In the program you are leading based on your deep expertise and dedication to establish a reliable CMDB making CIs the core enabler of our processes.

Concretely, you will:

  • Act as Business Process Consultant for the Configuration Management process and CMDB

  • Continuously improve our CMDB structure, capabilities and data quality for our > 20 million CIs

  • Proficient with business processes management and able to transfer business demands to reliable CMDB structure

  • Understand and govern underlying data structures of our infrastructure and cloud environments represented in our CMDB

  • Drive continuous improvements with focus on quality, stability, usability and maintainability

  • Applying DevOps mindset to take operational responsibility for the provided concepts and solutions

  • Work closely with sprint teams to ensure CMDB structure and concepts are transferred in a working product

What you bring

  • Academic degree in Information Technology, Software engineering, business informatics or related fields

  • 15 years of professional working experience with ServiceNow CMDB design or comparable and deep understanding of CSM, ITSM & ITOM processes and platforms

  • Experience in ServiceNow and track record in process migration projects from other platforms to ServiceNow

  • Experience in defining a CMDB supporting large-scale IT/Cloud environments

  • Experience in agile application delivery processes, procedures & agile implementation methods (e.g. SAFe)

  • Good knowledge of IT with particular focus on enterprise applications and configuration management

  • Experience in CMDB design and requirements analysis

  • Deep understanding of SAP cloud operations processes and underlying architecture / tools is an advantage

  • Leader and team player give guidance and show excellent coordination skills, passionate about execution, motivated and self-managed

  • Ability to work in an international organization, with remote development teams and stakeholders with good communication skills
