SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP) is a cloud solution that enables companies to react quickly to customer demands and expectations and helps them handle changes and shortages in the supply chain by generating a short to mid-term supply plan, based on prioritized and categorized demand such as orders and forecasts. SAP IBP is a very successful solution and offers various interesting growth opportunities.

The development of SAP IBP is fueled by the collaboration between several teams in different locations and the co-innovation with various customers. You will be a member of an inspired team focusing on the development of IBP for Demand and general planning functions used across all IBP applications. Your team is currently focusing on the topics Disaggregation and Realignment.

Disaggregation is a function to distribute key figure values from an aggregated level to a detailed level according to certain rules, for example from month to days or product group to products. Realignment is the process of adjusting core planning data for example if a warehouse in the Supply Chain is closed.

The architecture is based on SAPs In-Memory-Computing-Platform SAP HANA and uses SQL-Script, ABAP and other technologies.

Your development tasks within a scrum team

  • Design, implement, test and maintain solutions within SAP IBP using the latest technologies

  • Ensure completion of assigned tasks on time and with high quality

  • Apply agile software engineering methods in a dynamic development environment

  • Support quality activities, like test driven development and the creation of automated tests

  • Support customers using the solution

Required skills

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, natural science, business administration or a related discipline

  • Programming skills in SQL/SQL-Script

  • Constructive and open-minded style of communication across teams

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and challenges

  • Fluent in verbal and written English and German

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge or Interest in ABAP

  • Knowledge or Interest in using latest HANA Technologies (e.g. Planning Engine)

  • Knowledge of agile software engineering methods

  • Experience in software quality assurance


  • Entry level with up to 2 years of relevant work experience
