PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Support is undergoing its own digital transformation, aiming to serve the digital enterprise of our customers.
As an essential element to maintain highest levels of technical competence across all of SAP’s latest products and technologies, the Support Delivery organization establishes a team dedicated to imperative core competencies in all relevant areas.
This Support Core Competence team has a very tight collaboration with P&I to optimally help our most critical customers during the implementation and operation of the latest cutting-edge innovations. Within the Support Core Competence team, we are resolving complex product issues in different areas and contribute actively to the improvement of the product quality. Acquired experience will be the basis to drive the development and industrialization of our proactive support offerings as well as the knowledge transfer across the Support Delivery organization. This will further drive the shift towards new technologies within Support Delivery.
As an (Associate) Support Engineer in the area of SAP S/4HANA Finance within the Support Core Competence team you will be responsible to perform the root cause analysis of complex product issues based on real customer cases, as well as drive the resolution together with SAP development and other LoBs. You will translate gained insights and experience into knowledge assets and service delivery tools/ procedures.

A university or comparable degree in core sciences, economics or engineering, e.g. Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics
First experience in SAP S/4HANA solution and financial processes and functions, e.g. like Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC) and Accounting and Financial Close with Fast Close
Basic Knowledge in the relevant technology stack, like SAP Fiori for S/4HANA Finance and SAP HANA preferred
Programming skills (e.g., Java, C , ABAP) and experience in data analysis
Analytical skills to solve complex problems; a structured, reliable and independent way of working under pressure; confident and friendly interaction with customers and very good communication skills in general.
Customer orientation with a strong focus on quality
Full professional English and German language skills

As the SAP S/4HANA Finance (Associate) Support Engineer in the Support Core Competence team you will:
Perform a deep dive technical analysis of complex issues within the area of SAP S/4HANA Finance based on real customer cases
Drive the identification and resolution of top product issues in close collaboration of SAP development
Clarify existing expectations with customer’s technology/ operations experts and stakeholders
Support critical de-escalation activities
Actively share unique experience with all relevant areas in Support Delivery.
Work closely together with your peers developing services and tools to ensure the success of SAP’s next generation support.
Drive knowledge management and innovation activities based on this experience with customers.
Documents successful approaches, tools etc. and makes them available to colleagues at SAP.
