PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Innovative Business Solutions is a global organization dedicated to delivering solutions that addresses customers’ unique and competitive business requirements. The mission of SAP Innovative Business Solutions is to be agile, innovative and flexible in providing high quality, supportable solutions. With 12 development centers worldwide, we are able to leverage a global delivery model that utilizes the specific strengths of each location.
As the global business development and solution architects organization, we are expected to support the 4 regions (North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific & Japan) throughout the whole sales process from lead generation until successful delivery of innovative development projects (IDPs) and cloud application extensions (CAEs).
SAP Innovative Business Solutions therefore looks for an engaged seasoned professional (f/m) in the role of a Global Solution Architect (Expert level) with focus on S/4HANA – Financials. The candidate must have a strong consulting and sales/pre-sales background with proven experience around the SAP Financials product portfolio and proven experience on multiple customer projects in this topic area. The candidate should have a very charismatic personality with superb presentation skills geared to all levels of customer’s corporate structure from IT developers to high executive level.
This role will also be responsible for business development in the EMEA/MEE region and will work closely with our GTM teams to drive demand generation for innovative development projects related to S/4HANA – Financials.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a Global Solution Architect and Business Development Manager for SAP Innovative Business Solutions you will:
Position our solution experience with new and existing customers
Uncover new business opportunities by identifying cross and upselling opportunities around the SAP product portfolio for S/4HANA – Financials
Identify white spots by customer/industry analysis where we can proactively position our solutions
Develop opportunities through deal qualification and opportunity nurturing in the early sales cycle
Lead customer workshops for projects to be won
Propose and present solution architecture for an innovative development project (IDP) or cloud application extension (CAE)
Take ownership of large portions of a project deal such as solution proposal and effort estimation in close collaboration with our IBS engineering teams
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
In-depth knowledge and tangible experience with SAP Financials product portfolio
Experience in business development and/or sales related experience, preferably some pre-sales experience
Software architecture and application development experience using agile methodologies
Strong analytical and communication skills, including ability to rapidly gather data, structure hypotheses, and develop synthesized findings/recommendations
Strong team orientation and ability to thrive on virtual, international, cross-functional teams
Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related fields
Excellent verbal, communication and board/executive level presentation skills in English and German
Minimum 5 - 8 years professional experience in enterprise software business development, sales, pre-sales or consulting
Managed customer relationship over an extended period
Deep understanding of overall SAP portfolio
Germany (EMEA region)
Travel Expectations: 50%
