The global Sustainability team strives to transform SAP into a role model of a sustainable company. This means that the team does not only ensure sustainable operations at SAP, but it also aims to innovate SAP’s solution and service portfolio to create positive social, environmental, and economic impact. Moving forward, the team will increase its focus on business ethics and corporate (digital) responsibility.


We search for a senior program/project manager who drives strategic sustainability initiatives embedding social, economic, and environmental impact creation into SAP’s core business. Examples of responsibilities include:

  • Build awareness and trust on sustainability, business ethics and corporate (digital) responsibility

  • Prepare recommendations for the SAP Sustainability Council and the SAP Executive Board

  • Build and nurture an external network (academia, non-governmental organizations, peer companies) and represent SAP externally on sustainability, purpose, ethics and responsibility topics

  • Lead dedicated sustainability projects


  • Passion for and theoretical and practical knowledge in sustainability, business ethics, and corporate (digital) responsibility

  • Focus on results and execution

  • Strong program and project management skills

  • Strong relationship skills and ability to influence without authority on all management levels including c-level

  • Team player

  • Systemic thinking

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English and German including ability to present complex information in a clear and appealing manner

  • Knowledge of existing and emerging SAP technologies is a plus


  • 8 years professional work experience

  • Applied know-how and practice in the areas of project and stakeholder management

  • Worked in cross-functional teams
